Made a quick trip to BC with Greg Saturday Night. It was a much need trip and we had a blast. Fishing is at full speed and we managed as many as we needed within 5 hours and headed home. Fish are not picky and most of the fish were caught on big dry flies. Here are a few pics. Enjoy.

Memorial Weekend

Took off to Sierra Brooks, Ca near Portola Thursday night and had the chance to fish the familys ranch. Only was able to fish is for a couple hours but I managed a few fish. My inlaws have been telling me that 30 fish days are common right now. Decided to ride my bike back down south so I threw my rod and a change of clothes in my backpack and hit the rode to Mammoth. Fished a few spots and got a few at some secrete spots. Finally made it home Monday evening after a long ride. Had a blast though. Here are some pics

Had the chance to spend half the day with the wife and kid again on the water. I was lucky enough to get a pretty nice trout and a few nice bass..... I had a great day with the family.

Spent another day on the water today. Nailed a nice carp and my wife nailed this nice bass. What a day we had! Perfect weather and perfect conditions, the fish are starting to like the weather too.

I love fishing with my wife, we dont get to spend to much time on the water together but it beats just about anything. We had so much fun today enjoying the sun and casting our flies together. Thanks for the great day bebe. Here are a few photos of what we caught.

Ned from Palm Springs flew his brother Marty out from New York to spent a couple days up here in beautiful Lake Arrowhead. We were lucky enough to get 1 day of fishing in before this storm came in. It was still cold and windy.... Towards the end of the day the fog came in so thick you couldnt even see 1o feet in front of yourself. We still managed to get 9 bass. 7 smallies and 2 large mouth bass. These guys were great fun and we had a blast searching for these fish in the tough conditions. After I dropped them off I managed to get a nice pan fish and 1 smallie. Here are a couple pics

My buddy Greg and I spent the day on arrowhead in search for the local small and large mouth bass that rule the lake.... It was the first real day we searched for bass this year. The water has warmed up to 55 and the bass are starting to come out and get into pre spawn mode. I ended up with 2 Larges and 4 smallies while Greg landed 2 larges and 2 smallies. We had a blast and remembered how fun it is to catch these bass on the fly after the long winter. I cant wait for the weather to get better and turn these fish on. The new Ranger boat I got makes the fishing so much fun. It is so easy to creep into spots that I couldnt ever fish before for some reason on another. I can litteraly fish anyspot on the lake! Deep Creek Report April 17th

Scott from San Diego drove up with his dad Bill from Michigan. I took them down to deep creek for the day. We spent the entire day down there and hiked our butts off..... It was an exploritory trip. It was the first time I went down there this year. Deep Creek is really flowing heavy with all the wet weather we got this winter. We had to work really hard all day for 5 fish.... we hooked and missed a lot more. I think we did good considering the water clarity and amount of water flowing. Pretty soon the flows will be down and the 30 fish days will be here!

Pyramid Lake Report

Spent March 25 through 27 up at Pyramid! 6 of us ended up with 300 fish. Biggest one going 10lbs. Most were caught on Red Midges...... cant wait to get back up there. I think that the Blackwater Line we were using helped with all the fish we caught.

I finally got my home computer hooked up and running after 2 months, moving sucks! I haven't posted anything in a while mainly because I have been so busy at work. Motorsport has had record numbers these past few months and we have been growing and expanding everyday. Crazy, I feel so blessed for the business we have had. I haven't had time at work to even think about anything fishing related, kinda sucks. Even though we have been busy at work doesn't mean I haven't been fishing.... I have spent time at Pyramid, Little Truckee, Trinity River, East Walker, Hot Creek and Arrowhead. I have also spent a lot of time behind the vise. I need to get my camera dialed in a little better, sorry some of the pics are blurry. Here are a few shots of what I have been up too......

Cold weather is pushing up the trout! 12/6

With Fall in full progress and winter coming its making for cold nights. Thanksgiving brought the first real snow fall of the year with a few inches accumulating. The cold weather brings the trout up to the surface and makes for good fly fishing. I went down to the local lake on Saturday and casted an intermediate sinking line and first cast hooked a trout. Lost it half way through the fight. I then hooked 4 more and landed 2 within half hour and headed back up the house. I used a chartreuse and white streamer that I tied. My rod was a 7 weight TCX Sage with Rio line and leader tied to 7lb Blackwater Flouro. Sunday I went back down there with my dog for another half hour session and again landed 2 more trout on the same setup before I headed home. I only live a couple minutes of walking to the lake from my house . It was cold as the storm is coming in and supposed to bring snow most of the week! I believe after this week the trout will be on full chew for the rest of the winter on into spring! If you want to come up for a day or half a day me or my other Guide Greg will take you out. I was supossed to be working our booth at the dub show. Biggest car show of the year in SoCal. But I decided to go fishing instead. headed down to deep creek with my homie Greg. A 20 min. drive from the house we enjoyed some Sierra Nevada on the way. Got to spot, geared up and started hiking up stream. We fished for 3 hours and each picked up a few nice fish on hopper dropper set ups. Enjoyed the beautiful day. Wasnt the best day as far as numbers, but I think we were both just enjoying our surroundings. I lost a 16" brownie and we saw a few other fish that were in the 16" range.
